Blue Delliquanti, the award-winning cartoonist behind O Human Star, teamed up with Racist Sandwich co-creator Soleil Ho to write Meal, an upcoming graphic novel published by Iron Circus Comics about a young chef navigating love and friendship in a new city while pursuing a job at a restaurant that specializes in insect cuisine.

Shenanigansen—or Shen, for short—is the prolific artist behind the enormously popular Shen Comix and Bluechair comics, building a devoted fan base with a distinctive art style and a relatable focus on self-doubt, mental health, overwork, and social anxiety.

Launched in 2013, The Nib is dedicated to publishing political commentary, journalism, essays, and memoirs in comic form online. Along the way, they’ve printed an anthology, made an animated series, and kickstarted a new magazine, raising over $168k in July. Editors Matt Bors and Eleri Harris join us to talk about the site’s history.
